Lost Generation Brewery is unequivocally the best brewery in Washington, DC. Before even talking about the beer, what’s most striking is how whenever we walk in the doors it feels as if we’re instantly a part of a small community. And now, the beer: amazing, unique, creative, delicious. And there’s more! When I approached Lost Gen about providing the alcohol and bar service for my wedding, I couldn’t have imagined that the experience from planning to execution could have been more fun, creative, easygoing and, at the end of the day, delicious. Our brunch wedding was perfectly complemented by mimosas, bloody marys, and espresso martinis (on draft!), wine, and a selection of Lost Gen beers. I couldn't be happier with my dependable, welcoming, and of course delicious, local brewery both to grab a drink (or a few) with friends or to rely on for any future event.
Yes! We have a neighborhood bar in Eckington! Love the atmosphere inside, owners and staff are super nice, and most importantly, the beer and seltzers are very good!
2024 Update: we don't go anywhere else
Quickly establishing itself as the best homegrown brewery in the city. The beers are true to style, but distinctive, served by friendly bartenders and available in cans for takeaway. Easy reachable off the Metropolitan Branch Trail, walking distance to two Red Line stops. No kitchen but food trucks are usually present. The interior is well-designed, fun, and comfortable.
Definitely one of the better breweries I've been to in DC. Beer is great and the variety of options is appreciated. The dark lager, Czech dark lager, and IPAs I had were all really good and the Dying Moons and Shadows was one of the best Czech dark lagers I've had in a minute!
No on site kitchen but they had a pop-up restaurant when I visited that was selling bbq. Bathrooms are shared between multiple businesses on location but they were clean and easy enough to find.
Parking isn't exactly abundant but I didn't have an issue finding street parking in the vicinity.
We enjoyed this place. Decor was really great for a brewery. Location was nice and dog friendly. Beer was average. Plenty of parking on street nearby. I would recommend this place.
Made a reservation here for my husband's birthday. The entire experience was great! The space is gorgeous. Parking is easy. Food truck option was yum and service was great. My fave brew was the Italian pilsner.
Great brewery! They specialize in IPAs and lagers, both of which are great. The inside space is big and open, with various tables, high tops, and a large bar. They also just opened an outside patio.
Okayyyyyy. New-ish brew co in DC proper and it does not disappoint. A smaller brew list makes for impressive stable of well-balanced interesting beers. Several hoppy IPAs. Other bright and clean tasting offerings. Gorgeous venue. Great vibe. Great clientele. Highest recommendation. Must visit!
